Trevor Kenyon returns to Maryville for his second season after spending one year as the Assistant baseball coach at North Scott High School in Iowa, where he helped lead them to quarterfinals of the state tournament. Kenyon will continue to work with Saints hitters and catchers while coaching first base.
2016 saw the Saints catchers only have five pass balls while throwing out 25 percent of would be base stealers. A tireless worker, Kenyon helped guide the Saints hitters to a new level of production. The hitters set new records in Homeruns, Runs scored, RBI, slugging percentage and stolen bases.
He finished his playing career at Iowa under head coach Rick Heller. Kenyon helped lead Iowa to a Big 10 Conference tournament appearance in his senior year.
Kenyon is engaged to Shelby Schmitz. They are set to be married September of 2017
VonBehren on Kenyon:
“Trev continues to work to develop our catchers and hitters with the knowledge he has, but maybe the biggest thing is that he is always searching for something more to learn and give our players information so they can develop as baseball players.”
