2018: Played in 37 contests while earning starts in 36 games
          Led the Saints with a .386 batting average
          Tied for third on the squad with 29 runs batted in
          Hit 12 doubles, a pair of triples, and five home runs
          Saw action in 12 games on the mound while earning 10 starts with a 4-4 record
          Finished with a 4.79 ERA in 56.1 innings pitched
          Named CoSIDA Academic All-District

2017: Played in 40 games while starting 35 contests
          Finished the year with a .294 batting average and drove in 19 runs
          Hit seven doubles, a triple, and three home runs on the year with 23 runs scored
         Appeared in 12 games as a pitcher and finished with a 3-4 mark
         Threw 55.0 innings with a 4.75 ERA and a save.Had 36 strike outs and 18 walks on
         the year

2016: Started 40 games in his freshman season and hit .256 with four home runs and
          23 RBI.     
         Saw action in  7.2 innings on the mound striking out four hitters. 

High School: Niemerg comes to Maryville following a standout academic and athletic career at Teutopolis High School in Illinois, where he played for Justin Fleenor.  Niemerg was part of two elite eight finishes and two third place finishes in the Illinois High School baseball tournament.  He finished his senior year on the mound with a 12-0 record and a 1.12 ERA while hitting .409 with 28 RBI and 29 runs scored.

Following his senior season, Niemerg was honored with the Decatur area player of the year, Effingham Area player of the year and first team All-State award.  He finished his academic career as a member of the National Honor Society.
