Biography

2016:  VanVolkenberg made 13 appearances on the mound and three starts. Finished the year with 14.1 innings pitched and a record of 0-1

2015:  Started nine games on the mound while making 12 appearances… pitched in 48 1/3 innings finishing the year with a 5.96 era… 3/15 picked up the win going seven innings in a victory over Bellermine….3/21 pitched 5 2/3 allowing one run in a victory over Illinois-Springfield.

2014:  Appeared in three games making one start against Missouri S&T in a 1-0 victory.  Finished the year with 3.68 ERA.  Threw 5.1 innings against Missouri S&T while only giving up three hits and recording three strikeouts in a no decision victory.

High School: Graduated from Lisle High School and played under head coach Pete Meyer ... earned All-Conference, All-Area and All-State awards with his 6-1 record and 2.40 ERA while helping lead Lisle to the Illinois 2A state Championship ... also batted .360 in his final year.

Ryan can do several things for us from starting to coming out of our bullpen. He has taken to his leadership role by leading on the field by example. Ryan is a team guy and ready to help out anyway he can.
