After a record-breaking career between the pipes for Maryville, Christian Kjaersgaard joins the Saints soccer coaching staff for the 2019 season as a volunteer coach. He will assist with the goalkeepers and also in day-to-day practice planning and scouting.

In his time at Maryville, Kjaersgaard has placed his name atop many of the career goalkeeping record lists. He has played and started the most games in program history and holds the career record for shutouts with 30 and in victories with 40 wins. Kjaersgaard is third on the all-time save list with 247 and is fourth in career save percentage at .762. He also holds the single season record in shutouts with 10 while his 0.60 goals against average his junior year is on top of that list.

Kjaersgaard helped the Saints to three straight appearances in the Great Lakes Valley Conference Soccer Championship and lead Maryville to the 2018 GLVC Championship last season. He was also instrumental in Maryville earning berths into the NCAA Division II Soccer Championships in 2017-2018.
