In 2026, Haston guided Maryville to a GLVC regular-season championship, an 18-8 overall record, and a runner-up finish at the GLVC Tournament. Since the program’s inception, the Saints have accumulated 88 victories under his leadership. During his tenure, Maryville has produced 15 All-Conference selections, including six First Team honorees, earned 19 Player of the Week awards, and received five consecutive AVCA Team Academic Awards, reflecting the program’s success both on the court and in the classroom.

Prior to becoming the inaugural head coach of the men’s volleyball program, Haston spent four seasons as an assistant coach for the Maryville women’s volleyball team at the NCAA Division II level. Before joining Maryville, he served as head men’s volleyball coach at Fontbonne University beginning in 2013, finishing his tenure as the program’s all-time winningest coach. Over his final three seasons, he compiled a 51-29 record. Haston also served as an assistant coach at Fontbonne from 2007 to 2013.

In addition to his collegiate experience, Haston has an extensive background in high school and club volleyball. He spent five seasons as the varsity girls volleyball head coach at Fox High School in Arnold, Missouri, and has coached for several years with St. Louis High Performance Volleyball Club.

A St. Louis native, Haston was a standout player at Parkway North High School, helping lead the program to back-to-back Missouri state championships in 2001 and 2002. He continued his playing career at the University of Tennessee, competing in club volleyball from 2003 to 2007, and was inducted into the University of Tennessee Club Volleyball Hall of Fame in 2018.

Haston earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Tennessee and a master’s degree in special education from the Webster University. He is USAV IMPACT certified, holds a USA Volleyball CAP Level II certification, and has coached at volleyball camps across the country, including at Colorado State University, as well as with the USA Volleyball National Team Development Program.
