Maryville University Athletics

2017: Played in 30 games while earning 26 starts... was second on the team in batting with a .341 average with 30 hits... hit six doubles and a hoe run.  drove in 16 runs and scored 10 times... Named Academic All-GLVC.

2016: Finished the year hitting .286 with one homerun and seven RBI while fielding .985 behind the plate. Best series offensively was against William Jewell where on 4/16 he went 2 for 4 with two runs scored and the next day went 2 for 3 in a series sweep.

Prior to Maryville: Markell comes to Maryville after spending his freshman season at nationally ranked Mesa Community College in Mesa, Ariz.  Connor will brings a background of completing in one of the top junior college regions in the country.  He will be asked to help behind the plate as well as in the infield.

Connor worked through his freshman season after a couple of injuries set him back.  His team finished the year 37-20.

Connor is the son of Drew and Lynette.  He has one brother Kyle.

“ Connor is a ballplayer. He has totally bought in to the new pitching plan behind the plate and has really become a complete catcher. He takes total pride in his job behind the plate and you will see it pay off for the pitchers this spring. He has come along way with his hitting and we expect him to be a big part of the lineup this spring.
