Biography

2017: Played in 48 games while earning starts in 47 contests... Was second on the team in doubles with 14 and had a triple and three homers... Batted .281 on the year with 45 hits and 33 runs batted in... Named Academic All-GLVC.

2016: Schumer earned Second Team All Conference honors as a SS after hitting .314 with six homeruns and 25 RBI. After spending a few weeks with a hand injury he returned in which the Saints went 5-11 without him in the lineup, he returned to help the saints win 6 of their next 9. In a win against William Jewell on April 7th he went 3 for 4 with a run and RBI. 4/23 at Quincy he went 3 for 4 with two doubles and four RBI.

2015:  Took over as starting shortstop midway through season….4/11 went 2 for 3 with two runs scored and a walk in 8-0 win… 5/2 went 2 for 4 with one run scored in 9-5 victory of college world series participant Truman St…11 of 28 hits were for extra bases and finished year scoring 13 runs and producing 11 RBI

2014: Took a redshirt season.

High School: Schumer finished his playing career at Lutheran South playing for Steve Pfund .... his senior season, hit .300 with 13 doubles and 22 RBI ... was named first-team All-Conference ... earned MVP of the MHSBCA Senior All-Star Game.

Niedbalski on Schumer:

“Dalton has a chance to play ss or 3b for us this season. He is going to be hitting in the middle of the order for us, we are expecting a big offensive season from him this season, but nobody has higher expectations for Dalton than himself.
