Megan Walton

Megan Walton began her tenure as an assistant coach for the Maryville women’s basketball team prior to the start of the 2019-20 season. She comes to the Saints after a stint as the event coordinator and facility manager for the NBA’s Indiana Pacers Athletic Center in Westfield, Ind.
 
Walton served as the varsity assistant coach for Delta High School in Muncie, Ind. She assisted in the team’s practice structure and communicated and organized team operations. Walton coordinated and operated the team’s youth camps. She also worked as a legal branch intern for USA Football in Indianapolis.
 
Walton graduated from Ball State University in 2019 with a degree in communications and a minor in Spanish. She played for the Cardinals’ women’s basketball team but her collegiate career ended due to a serious knee injury. A native of the metro Indianapolis area, she attended Hamilton Southeastern High School. Walton helped HSE win two conference championships, and she was a three-time All-Hoosier Crossroads Conference selection. As a junior, she was selected to the IBCA Underclass Large School All-State squad and earned All-State High Honorable Mention honors. Walton was chosen to the Hoosier Basketball Top 60, was a 2016 Large School All-State team selection and All-USA Central Indiana honorable mention.
