Bron Wilkerson is in his third season as assistant volleyball coach at Maryville University.
Wilkerson joins head coach Chris Phillips as the 11th assistant coach in program history taking over a team that finished 4-28 in the 2010 season and 2-12 in Great Lakes Valley Conference play. After their first year at the helm of the Saints, Maryville improved its record by finishing the 2011 season at 8-18 overall, 3-15 GLVC.
Wilkerson comes to Maryville bringing a variety of coaching and playing experience since 1994. He has found success as the head volleyball coach at Notre Dame High School in 2009 and 2010. Wilkerson has also been involved with coaching club volleyball since 2009. Wilkerson also was an assistant women volleyball coach at Columbia College from (2000-2001) where they placed second in Nationals.

Wilkerson claims to be a teacher rather than a coach and he demonstrates it with his experience. He was a Volleyball Coach and Nike Clinics Instructor at the University of Missouri from (1998-2003) as well as a Clinic Director for volleyball clinics for High School Coaches & Players in Southeast Missouri from (2002-2005).

A definite advantage that Wilkerson brings to the team is his knowledge of strength and conditioning for athletes. Wilkerson has been a performance trainer and strength coach since 1996. He has consulted for major health clubs across the nation as well as owned his own sports performance company. Wilkerson also has been college strength and conditioning coach for more than six years.
