Looking for its first Great Lakes Valley Conference win of the season, the Maryville volleyball team stumbled at William Jewell Friday night in Liberty, Mo. The match was the first conference road contest of the year.
 
The Saints struggled on the offensive end and managed to post just a .036 hitting percentage. Mikaela Lahm led the Saints with seven kills, while Samantha Callahan and Demi Maniaci both added six kills. Hannah Seitter headed up the defensive charge with 11 digs. The Cardinals enjoyed a strong service game and completed the contest with 10 aces.
 
The Saints are 1-12 overall, 0-4 in the GLVC. The Cardinals up their record to 5-7, 1-3 in the conference. Maryville is back in action Saturday with a match at Rockhurst.
