The Maryville volleyball team looks to post its first Great Lakes Valley Conference victory as it twice plays at home this weekend. Drury invades Moloney Arena Friday, Sept. 28, for an early 5 p.m. match, and the Saints welcome Missouri S&T Saturday, Sept. 29, in a 3 p.m. contest.
                                                                  
MORE ON MARYVILLE:
Mikaela Lahm leads the Saints (1-13, 0-5 GLVC) with 129 kills and 28 blocks. Hana Michael has reached the 100 kills mark along with a team-best 134 digs. Taryn Trubich has directed the offense with 210 assists, while Megan Baumgartner has added 159 assists. Michael has a team-high 10 service aces.
 
ABOUT DRURY:
The Panthers stand at 8-7 overall, 3-2 in the league. Alex Smith and Sara Borneman top Drury with 208 and 207 kills, respectively. Borneman is second in the GLVC in kills per set at 3.64. Maddie Baumann has 455 assists on the year, and Brooke Foster leads the squad with 165 digs.
 
ABOUT MISSOURI S&T:
The Miners are 9-5 overall and atop the Western Division at 5-0. Julie Meyer had 132 kills to lead S&T, and Krista Haslag is just one behind along with a team-high 80 kills. Haslag is the league’s top blocker at 1.56 per set. Jocelyn DeMotte has registered 229 digs. Jennifer Costello already has 572 assists this year and tops all setters at 11.15 assists per set. The Miners lead the league in digs per set at 18.78.
 
LAST WEEK:
The Saints ventured out on the road but dropped decisions at William Jewell and Rockhurst in three straight sets.
 
LOOKING AHEAD:
The Saints make their first trip to McKendree Friday, Oct. 6, for a 5 p.m. match. Maryville continues on the road to Louisville where it plays at Bellarmine Saturday, Oct. 7.
