Maryville (5-6, 1-2) looks to get back on track with two home Great Lakes Valley Conference games at Moloney Arena. The Saints welcome McKendree for a 5:15 p.m. game Thursday, Jan. 10, and then take on Bellarmine Saturday, Jan. 12, in a 1 p.m. contest.
ABOUT MCKENDREE
The Bearcats are in their first season in the GLVC and are 5-5 overall, 0-2 in the league.
Caty Ponce leads the conference in scoring 19.5 ppg and free throw percentage at 90.5 percent. Shelby Woelfel tops the team and is eighth in the GLVC with 7.9 rpg and second with 1.6 blocks per game. The Bearcats are second in the league in 3-pointers made per game at 6.3.
ABOUT BELLARMINE
The Knights start the week with an 11-2 record and are 1-1 in the GLVC. Betsy Goodin leads a balanced attack with 10.7 ppg. Darion Hutchinson is 10th in the league with 7.5 rpg, while Kylie Brady has handed out 51 assists this season. Bellarmine lead the league in 3-point field goal percentage defense at 22.8 and in rebound margin +11.7.
NEARING THE SCORING RECORD
Senior forward Abby Duethman has scored 1,293 points in her career and is just 36 points away from the career scoring record. Topping the Maryville career scoring chart is Heather Toma with 1,329 points.
LAST WEEK
Despite 24 points and 11 rebounds from Abby Duethman, the Saints dropped a heartbreaking 97-91 decision in double overtime at Kentucky Wesleyan. KWC sank a GLVC-high 13 3-pointers in the game. Maryville battled at unbeaten Southern Indiana but fell 69-63 to the Screaming Eagles.

The Saints return their top 11 players from a squad that posted a 19-12 overall mark, 11-7 in the league last season and won the GLVC Tournament. Senior forward

Shelby Miller has hit 16 3-pointers and is averaging 9.6 ppg The Saints top the GLVC in scoring defense at 53.3 ppg and second in turnover margin at +8.8.

CLEANING THE GLASS
Abby Duethman has moved into sixth place on the all-time rebounding list with 519. She became just the fourth Saint to score 1,000 points and grab 500 rebounds in a career. The only other Saints to reach those milestones are Julie Kellogg, Kim Lesley and Carrie Snyder. Ahead of Duethman in a tie for fourth are Emily Grana and Lea Fesaline who had 520, and Katie Albur sits in third place with 539 boards.
