On a windy afternoon in St. Louis, the Maryville women's soccer team fell 3-0 to Drury in Great Lakes Valley Conference play. The Panthers scored the only goal they would need late in the first half and tacked on two late tallies.

Amanda Wiechens had two shots, and
Shannon Foley tested Drury keeper Kelsey Vaught, but she made all three saves to keep the game scoreless. Maryville kept up the pressure and had two more shots on frame, but again was denied. Drury had its first shot on goal in the 29th minute, and
Mandy Browning came up with the save. The Panthers scored in the 39th minute when Kara Steiner pushed a pass to Sarah Duffy who lofted the ball over the keeper and into the net.

After halftime, the Saints pressed for the equalizer, and Wiechens had a long shot that just rolled wide of the Drury cage. Steiner headed a ball to Duffy who tallied in the 62nd minute of play for a 2-0 Drury advantage. The Panthers closed out the scoring with exactly 21 minutes left as Jennifer Rogers hit a long ball that just dipped below the crossbar and into the net.
