Taking a break from Great Lakes Valley Conference, the Maryville volleyball team made the short trip to Webster University but came up on the short end of a 3-1 decision. The Gorlocks edged the Saints 23-25, 25-18, 31-29, 25-16 Tuesday evening.

Mikaela Lahm led the Saints with 12 kills and six blocks, while Laura Welling added eight kills and chipped in nine digs. Ali Lampen posted a match-high 29 digs, and Hanna Seitter dished out 21 assists. Sam Kersting led the Gorlocks (15-4) with 16 kills. The Saints finished with 70 digs in the match.

Maryville is back to GLVC action with a match Friday, Oct. 11, at Missouri S&T
