Box Score The Maryville women's soccer team took an early lead but saw Lewis rally to post a 4-1 victory in Great Lakes Valley Conference play Friday afternoon.

Shannon Foley scored her first goal of the season just 4:01 into the contest to put the Saints up 1-0. She collected a pass from Amanda Wiechens and knocked in the first goal of the game. The Saints nearly doubled their lead in the 16th minute when Mandy Rood chipped the Lewis defense. However, her shot bounced and hit the crossbar and deflected out as Maryville kept its 1-0 lead. Lewis scored in the 20th minute to draw level, and the score reached 1-1 at halftime.

The Saints carried the play in the early portion of the second half but were unable to jump ahead. Lewis broke the deadlock with two goals about four minutes apart and sealed the victory in the 85th minute of play.

The Saints are next in action Sunday at they play at Wisconsin-Parkside.
