Maryland Heights, Mo. - In a game that had to be played on the turf at the Lou Fusz Soccer Fields, the Maryville men's soccer team dropped a 4-1 decision to visiting Wisconsin-Parkside on a cold and rainy Friday afternoon.

Nemanja Medic put the Rangers ahead in the 20thth minute when he headed in a cross that had sailed over the Saints defense for a 1-0 UWP lead. The Saints drew level on a
Gus Reinitz rocket in the 41st minute of the half.
Colby Gumm crossed in a pass from the top of the penalty area, Reinitz settled the ball and hit a rising, curling shot inside the left post for a 1-1 tie.

However, the Rangers struck twice off corner kicks to push ahead. Antonio Gonzalez tallied off a pass from Mathew Yang right at 49 minutes in, and Abraham Kanneh scored in the 60th minute. Yang closed out the scoring with a spot kick in the final minutes of play.

The Saints drop to 3-5-4 overall, 2-5-2 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference. The Rangers improve to 7-5 overall, 4-5 in the league. Maryville is back in action Sunday as it hosts Lewis at 2:30 p.m.
