Quincy, Ill. - Quincy was ranked No. 6 in the nation and proved worthy of its lofty place in the polls as it downed Maryville 6-0 in Great Lakes Valley Conference Friday night. The Saints had scored in four straight games and at least two goals in the last three contests but were blanked by the GLVC leaders.

Quincy scored the only goal in would need just past the 11 minute mark. The Saints tried to score the game-tying goal but the Hawks put the game away with three goals in six minutes.
Zach Klipsch had Maryville's only shot on goal in the first half but his attempt was saved by Drew Duncan.
Kory Clawson and
Gus Reinitz had second-half shots for the Saints but neither found its mark as the Hawks kept Maryville at bay.

The Saints slip to 4-8-4 overall, 3-8-2 in the GLVC, while the Hawks stay unbeaten at 15-0-1, 12-0-1 in the conference. Maryville hosts its final home game of the season Sunday as Truman State comes to town for a 2:30 p.m tilt.
