Hendricks Preserves Scoreless Draw at Missouri S&T

Rolla, Mo. - Maryville men's goalie CJ Hendricks made four saves as the Saints and Missouri S&T settled for a scoreless draw Sunday afternoon in Rolla, Mo. The tie is the fourth of the season for the Saints.
 
Kory Clawson had two good chances in the first half to nearly give the Saints a lead. His first attempt in the 19th minute was saved, and his second attempt one minute later hit the post. Zach Klipsch's shot midway through the half was saved. Hendricks had a save in the final minutes of the first half to keep the game tied at 0-0.
 
Klipsch and Luke Gilsinger had back-to-back shots on goal early in the second half that were stopped by Missouri S&T keeper James Holloway. Michael Scharf's shot was stopped late in the half, while an attempt by the Miners just missed high in the final seconds of regulation.
 
Neither team had a shot on goal in the first OT session before the Miners nearly won the game in the second overtime. Bruce Phillips' shot in the 108th minute was turned aside by Hendricks as the game ended deadlocked.
 
The Saints see their record move to 3-4-4 overall, 2-4-2 in the GLVC. The Miners now are 3-5-2overall, 2-4-2 in the conference.
