St. Louis - The Maryville volleyball squad recorded a season-high .366 hitting percentage, the fifth-best mark in a match in program history, en route to a 3-1 triumph over Bellarmine. The Saints posted set scores of 25-13, 22-25, 25-20, 25-16 as
Hana Michael recorded a double-double on 14 kills and 15 digs to pace the Saints.

In the opening set, the score was tied 2-2 before the Saints ripped off six straight points. Michael's kill started the run, and
Ashley Selman's kill closed out the burst for an 8-2 lead. Maryville kept the margin at a comfortable lead and sealed the win with a late 4-0 run. Up 15-8, Bellarmine committed a service error, and
Jordan McKinley notched a kill. After a BU hitting error, McKinley again finished a sequence for a 19-8 lead as the Saints cruised to the win.

Set two saw eight lead changes and three ties. The Saints were down 15-12 until responding with four in a row. The Knights committed an error, and
Maddie Timmermann killed a BU overpass.
Laura Welling's kill tied the set at 15-all, and a BU hitting error pushed the Saints on top 16-15. The Saints were up 20-18 after a Michael kill until Bellarmine scored five straight points to surge ahead and eventually tied the match.

The Saints led for most of the third set but saw the Knights cut the gap to 21-20. However, the Saints took control after that point. Timmermann hammered down a kill, and BU hit a shot outside the lines. Timmermann and McKinley then teamed up for back-to-back blocks to finish set three.

The final set was tied at 2-2 before the Saints surged ahead with a 4-0 run, capped by block by the tandem of Timmermann and
Grace Balcerak. The Knights got as close as 7-5 but the Saints had the answer in the form of five straight points. The Saints recorded four straight kills, and Timmermann and McKinley teamed for a block to get to a 12-5 lead. Maryville was up 22-16 and closed the match by tallying the final three points.

Michael hit .462 en route to posting her fifth double-double of the season. Balcerak notch 11 kills and three blocks, while Timmermann recorded 10 kills, hit .350 and led the team with six blocks. Ali Lampen notched a match-best 28 digs.
Taryn Trubich finished with 29 assists, while
Hannah Seitter added 24 assists. Margaret Horihan and Megan Kimbley led Bellarmine (12-12, 5-10) with 12 kills apiece, and Jaclyn Ohlmann finished with 20 digs.

The Saints improve to 15-11 overall, 6-9 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference. Maryville hosts its final home match of the season Sunday, when Southern Indiana visits for a 1 p.m. contest.
