St. Louis - In the final home match of the season, the Maryville volleyball team was looking to build a two-match winning streak but Southern Indiana emerged from Moloney Arena with a three-set victory over the Saints. USI won via set scores of 25-20, 25-15, 25-14.

Maryville was down 3-2 until USI went on a 7-0 run to take early control of set two. Selman's kill stopped the Screaming Eagles for a moment before the visitors recorded another 6-0 burst. USI led set three 6-4 and surged ahead on the strength of a 7-0 run. Selman ended the USI run with a kill. After a finish by Timmermann and a USI miscue, Maryville trimmed the deficit to 18-11 but that would prove to be as close as the Saints would get as USI won its second straight to improve to 18-9 overall, 8-8 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference.
