Alex Hillyer and
Rita Flynn combined to score 31 points and grab 14 rebounds for Maryville but it was not enough as No. 19 ranked Indianapolis held off a late Saints rally. Hillyer scored a team-high 17 points, and Flynn snared eight rebounds for Maryville.

The visiting Greyhounds started quickly and scored the first 10 points of the game.
Erica Lorton scored to get the Saints on the board. Indianapolis built a double-digit lead before a jumper by
Jordynn Martin and a bucket by
Shelby Miller drew the Saints to 24-15. The visitors used a mini run for a 32-17 lead at the break.

Indianapolis still held a 43-26 cushion in the second half before the Saints mounted a comeback. After one Hillyer free throw,
Alissa Oney drained a long 3-pointer from the wing. Flynn scored inside, and on the next trip made two free throws as Maryville pulled to 43-36 with 11 minutes to play. Later, four straight points from
Joann Thompson edged the Saints to within 50-42. Indianapolis hit a 3-pointer but Flynn answered with a basket. A free throw by Miller cut the margin to 53-45 with 6:23 to play but that was as close as the Saints could get.

Hillyer hit seven of her 10 shots from the field and added six rebounds. Flynn was 6-of-8 from the field and accounted for a game-high eight boards. Oney provided a spark off the bench with two 3-pointers. Erin Murphy led Indianapolis (18-4, 9-2 GLVC) with 18 points, while Kelly Walter added 14 points.

The Saints stand at 12-8 overall, 5-5 in the conference. Maryville welcomes Saint Joseph's for a 1 p.m. game Saturday. The game is Maryville's annual "Pink Zone" game for breast cancer awareness and fans are urged to wear pink to the game.
