Box Score 2 St. Louis - The Maryville baseball team was looking to win the weekend series against Lewis, but the Flyers instead managed a split of the four-game series by edging out 1-0 and 6-3 wins Sunday at Weber Field. In the first game, Saints starter
Brandon Sarkissian was outstanding on the mound and allowed just two hits on the day but the Saints were unable to generate any offense. The Saints stranded two runners in the top of the first and had two hits in the fourth. Sarkissian faced the minimum 12 batters through the first four innings. In the bottom of the fifth, Lewis' Ben Albano hit a solo home run for what would prove to be the only tally of the game.
Kyle Kinyon walked leading off the top of the seventh and pinch runner
Tyler Omlid reached second but was stranded there as the game ended. Flyers starter Sam Couch held the Saints to just five hits to win the pitching duel.

Lewis scored two runs in the bottom of the first in game two before the Saints got one run back in the third.
Kaleb Depew doubled in
Nate Steffler as the Saints trimmed the deficit to one. The Flyers added a run in the fourth before the Saints tied the game in the top of the fifth. After Steffler walked,
Brad Ridings doubled to put two runners in scoring position. Depew's RBI grounder scored Steffler, who touched home twice in the game, and
Garrett Jones doubled in another for a 3-3 tie. Lewis answered with two runs in the bottom of the fifth and closed out the game with a single tally in the eighth for the final 6-3 tally.
