Box Score Kenosha, Wis. – Making its first road trip of the season, the Maryville volleyball team was looking to extend its winning streak to three but instead was stopped by Wisconsin-Parkside 3-0 (25-18, 25-21, 25-14).

The Saints took a 7-6 lead on a
Maddie Timmermann kill before the Rangers scored four straight. Maryville cut back into the deficit on an UWP error and a
Hana Michael kill. The deficit was still one on a kill by
Ashley Selman kill but the Rangers scored five straight to take control.

The Rangers scored the first five points of set two to force the Saints to try and rally. The deficit stood at 21-13, and the Saints tallied three straight points on two kills by Selman and a UWP error. The Saints were still down 23-16 and made one more charge.
Laura Welling had two kills around a hitting error by the Rangers, and an ace by
Hannah Seitter cut the deficit to 23-20. However, the Rangers would not allow the Saints to get any closer.

The Saints again found themselves down early until scoring two straight points. Maryville was down 5-3 before the Rangers scored five consecutive points to pull away. The Saints got as close as 12-7 but UWP closed out the match.

Timmermann paced the Saints with eight kills, while Selman added seven kills.
Ali Lampen topped the Maryville backline with 21 digs.

The Saints slip to 5-4 overall, 1-2 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference. The Rangers improve to 5-3, 2-1 in the league. Maryville stays on the road and ventures to play Lewis Sunday afternoon.
