The Maryville women's soccer team had the better run of play in the first half until McKendree pushed across a goal in the 57th minute as the Saints eventually fell 2-0 in Lebanon, Ill. The Saints outshot the Bearcats 9-5 but were unable to find the netting.
 
Allison Verville had the first shot on goal in the early going but her shot was saved by Bearcat keeper Taylor Zerbe. After a corner, Hana McGinis nearly scored but was stopped. Dani Schmitz tested Zerbe as the score remained the same. Maryville's fourth shot on goal taken by Verville was steered away, and McGinis' shot was stopped. McKendree finally had its first shot on target as Saints goalie Bailey Doerflinger turned the attempt away.
 
In the second half, the Saints had back-to-back shots saved before McKendree scored on a counter. Sydnee Carroll scored a little more than 10 minutes in for what would prove to be the game winner. As the Saints looked to tie the game, two more attempts were saved by the Bearcat defense. McKendree sealed the win in the 87th minute. Zerbe made nine saves on the day to keep the Saints off the scoreboard.
 
The Saints drop their second straight decision and are now 5-6-3 overall, 4-5-3 in the GLVC. McKendree ups its mark to 7-5-3, 6-4-2 in the GLVC.
