The Maryville volleyball team lost its Great Lakes Valley Conference contest at Missouri S&T by the same score in all three sets. The Miners prevailed by set scores of 25-22, 25-22, 25-22 to trip up the Saints.

The Saints were down 18-14 late in set one before making a run.
Zoe Zeiter notched a kill to start three straight points.
Cydney Long served an ace, and
Laura Welling's kill pulled the Saints to 18-17. The Miners held a 20-18 edge before Maryville surged ahead with another 3-0 burst. After a Missouri S&T service error,
Taryn Trubich finished a play, and
Kelsey Warden put down a kill for a 21-20 Saints margin. Later,
Ashley Selman's solo block was good for a 22-21 lead until the Miners scored four straight to take the set 25-22.s

After trailing for most of the second set, the Saints pulled into a tie at 20-20 after a Missouri S&T error. The Miners scored three consecutive points before
Maddie Timmermann had a kill. She kept the Saints alive with another kill at 24-22 but S&T closed out the set at 25-22.

The Saints jumped to an early cushion in set three and stretched a 9-7 advantage to 13-7 capped by a setting error by the Miners. However, S&T slowly inched closed and tied the set at 19-19. With the game tied at 21-all, the Miners tallied two-in-a-row. Selman recorded a kill but Missouri S&T (10-5, 3-2 GLVC) scored the final two points for a final 25-22 win.
Timmermann paced the Saints with 12 kills on a .385 hitting percentage but was the only Maryville player in double-figure kills. Ali Lampen notched 20 digs, while Selman had seven kills and four blocks. The Saints drop to 6-8 overall, 1-4 in the GLVC. Maryville plays Saturday at Drury to close out their two-match swing.
