The Maryville men's soccer team rallied from a two-goal deficit and forged a 2-2 draw with visiting Southern Indiana Friday afternoon. The game was played at Lou Fusz Soccer Fields. The Saints have not yet lost a game in which they have scored at least one goal (6-0-1).

The Screaming Eagles pushed across a tally midway through the first half on a Josh Winzapfel goal. In the second half, a flurry of three goals occurred in just over three minutes. In the 56th minute, USI doubled its lead on a score by Hayden Sovar. However, less than a minute later, the Saints pulled one goal back. Nate Alonzo drove up the left sideline and sent in a cross. Luke Gilsinger hit a well-struck header into the net as the Saints pulled to within 2-1. Less than two minutes later, the Saints drew level. Sam Scoles sent in a cross, and Ryan Schlick headed in the ball to deadlock the game at 2-2.

Each team had one shot over the two overtime session as the game ended with two goals for each side. The Saints are now 6-7-3 overall, 4-6-3 in the GLVC. The Screaming Eagles stand at 6-6-3 overall, 4-6-3 in the league. Maryville will host Senior Day Sunday as Bellarmine comes to town.
