Maryville's women's soccer team twice rallied from one-goal deficits but Mackenzie Moore scored in the third minute of the second overtime as Rockhurst edged the Saints 3-2 in double OT. The loss ended the Saints' three-game unbeaten after two wins and a tie.

Rockhurst took the lead but
Amanda Wiechens struck for her team-leading sixth goal of the season just before halftime as the score was deadlocked at intermission. She headed in a ball off a corner kick from
Nadia Abu-Douleh for the equalizer. The Lady Hawks again jumped ahead but the Saints had the answer.
Allison Verville scored on a long shot outside the RU penalty area as the game moved into the final quarterhour deadlocked at 2-2.
Katy Rood nearly won it for Maryville in the final minute of regulation but her blast was saved.

Rockhurst nearly ended the game in the first overtime but the Saints defense saved the ball off the line.
Shannon Foley made a bid for the winner but she too was denied. In the second overtime, Rockhurst earned a corner kick. Moore's shot hit the crossbar but found the back of the net for the game-winning goal.

The Saints dip to 5-4-2 overall, 4-3-2 in the GLVC. Rockhurst stands at 4-3-4 overall, 4-3-1 in the league. Maryville returns to the pitch Sunday at William Jewell.
