The Maryville men's basketball team used a 24-4 burst to run past Robert Morris-Springfield 79-35 for its second straight victory. The Saints shot 50 percent from the field while holding the Eagles to just a 23.1 mark and improved to 4-6 this season.

The Eagles hit a 3-pointer to open the game before the Saints tallied eight straight points.
Marvin Grant-Clark scored on a layup, and
Max Mischkulnig tipped in a missed shot and then added a bucket inside.
Grant Sims swiped a pass and drove in for a layup. The Eagles hit a jumper before the Saints reeled off a 10-0 run.
Ben Volkman began the burst with a layup, and Grant-Clark scored inside.
Forrester Sims sank and jumper, and
Damyan Stoyanov had a steal and bucket.
Derek Deters made two free throws for an 18-5 lead. After an RMUS hoop, the Saints rattled off seven straight points. The Eagles scored on a layup before the Saints tacked on a 9-0 run. Stoyanov splashed in a triple, and
Vassil Stoimenov sank two free throws. Two more at the line from
Karson King pushed the Maryville edge to 32-9 with four minutes to play. The Saints settled for a 36-11 lead at the break.

In the second half, the Maryville advantage stood at 43-15 before the Saints salted the game away with a 15-0 run. Grant-Clark ignited the run with a 3-pointer, and Mischkulnig scored two straight buckets inside. After one
Jeff Leeson free throw, Grant Sims drained a 3-pointer, and Volkman's layup was good for 58-15 lead. The Saints edge grew to as much as 48 points over the Eagles (0-8) and eased to their second straight victory.

Mischkulnig scored 12 points on 6-of-8 shooting to lead the Saints. Grant Sims added 11 points. Grant-Clark hauled down a career-high 11 rebounds, while Jallow dished out seven assists. The Saints hit 33-of-66 shots from the field. Brandel Griggs led the Eagles with 19 points and 10 rebounds.

The Saints are next in action Thursday, Dec. 17, when they travel to Peoria, Ill, to face Bradley.
