Alex Wolf scored on a layup, and Alex Hillyer powered inside for a score and a 6-2 Maryville lead. Drury tied the game at 6-all before Jordynn Martin hit back-to-back buckets for a 10-6 edge. The Lady Panthers tied the game again at 10 and the quarter ended deadlocked at 16-16.

Drury jumped ahead with five points to open the second quarter and led by as many as 26-20. Ellen Foster made one free throw, and Martin knocked down a 3-pointer. After one at the line from Wolf, Foster sank two straight at the stripe to give the Saints a 27-26 lead. The half came with the score tied at 31-all.
