Box Score 2 The Maryville baseball team split a pair of games Saturday afternoon in Nashville, Tenn., versus host Trevecca Nazarene. The Trojans won game one 18-7 but the Saints bounced back to rally for a 12-10 win in game two.

In game one, the Saints scored the first two runs of the game.
Yoonjae Nam, who smacked a grand slam yesterday, led the game off with a solo blast for a 1-0 lead. Maryville added an unearned run when
Kaleb Depew's RBI single brought home
Troy Payton for a 2-0 lead. However, the Trojans tied the game in the bottom of the second and went ahead with four runs in the second inning. The Saints closed the gap to 9-4 with two more runs in the top of the fifth.
Mike Wilkinson doubled in a run, and
Ryan March's single to right center chased Wilkinson home. However, TNU added six runs over the next two innings to put the game away. The Saints tacked on single runs in the final three innings.

In the game two, the Saints struck for three runs in the third.
Garrett Jones singled to lead off, Yoonjae Nam bunted for a single, and
Tyler Omlid followed with another bunt single.
Brad Ridings was hit with a pitch to force home the game's first run.
Mitch Carriger singled up the middle for a 3-0 Saints lead. TNU answered with eight runs as it took advantage of two Maryville miscues to jump ahead 8-3 in the bottom of the fourth frame.

It was the Saints turn to post a crooked number as they rallied to tie the game in the top of the fifth with five runs. Carriger walked with the bases loaded, and
Daniel Barnett's RBI single brought home another run.
Nate Steffler worked a walk to force in another run, and Jones' single scored two more runs to forge an 8-8 tie. The Saints surged ahead with two runs in their next at-bat. Ridings singled, and
Mike Wilkinson earned a walk.
Kaleb Depew's long single to center scored two more runs which would prove to be the game winner. Depew eventually scored on a TNU error for an 11-8 lead. The Saints tacked on an insurance run in the top of the seventh before the Trojans added two late runs.
The Saints are now 2-4 on the season and are next in action for their home opener Feb. 27, when they host Northwood.
