Tyler Catlett's hit.
Kaleb Depew hit a ball deep to third and Omlid sprinted all the way around to slide under the tag to cut the Maryville deficit to 2-1. The Saints loaded the bases in the fifth before
Garrett Jones hit a fielder's choice that scored Catlett, who singled to start the frame, and forge a 2-2 tie.
Â
However, in the top of the sixth, Gabriel Acevedo hit a solo home run to left that proved to be the game winner for UIS. The Prairie Stars tacked on a single run in the eighth and scored two unearned runs in the ninth to seal the win.
