The Maryville volleyball team was edged out in both contests on the final day of action at their own Maryville Invitational Tournament. Southern Wesleyan edged the Saints 3-1 by set scores of 25-20, 25-23, 18-25, 25-20. Maryville rallied to force a fifth set against Texas A&M-Kingsville but the comeback fell short 25-18, 28-26, 20-25, 22-25, 15-8. Saints setter

Versus Southern Wesleyan,
Laura Welling paced the Saints with 13 kills, while
Ashley Selman notched 12 kills while hitting .400 to go with three blocks.
Zoe Zeiter chipped in 10 kills to go along with a .333 hitting mark.
Hana Michael recorded a team-high 19 digs.

After dropping the first two sets against Texas A&M-Kingsville, the Saints rallied with stirring wins in sets three and four. However, the Javelinas used a run midway through the decisive set to grab the 15-8 decision.
Maddie Timmermann had her second-highest career kill output with 18 while hitting .350 in the match. Selman finished with 14 kills and also had four blocks. Michael was a defensive force with 22 digs.

The Saints are 1-3 on the season and are next in action at a tournament hosted by Lewis University Sept. 11-12.
