A late goal by Palm Beach Atlantic forced overtime, and the Maryville women's soccer team's bid for a second straight win ended in the first OT session as the host Sailfish edged the Saints 2-1 Sunday in Florida.

Hana McGinis struck in the 12th minute as she scored to give the Saints a 1-0 lead. PBA looked to tie the game but Maryville keeper
Madison Buelow made three saves in the first half to keep the Saints ahead at halftime.

The Saints, who defeated Oakland City in their opener Friday, were unable to stretch out their margin. Buelow came up with six saves after halftime before PBA finally drew level in the 87th minute on a goal by Monica Rojas to force overtime. However, the extra session did not last long as Kayla Fisher scored in the first minute to give Palm Beach Atlantic (2-0) the 2-1 victory.

The Saints, who are 1-1 this year, are next in action Friday as they open Great Lakes Valley Conference play at Truman State. Maryville's home opener is Sunday as Quincy comes to town for a Noon start at the Maryville Soccer Field.
