Ali Ringering recorded 21 points as Maryville shot 55.6 percent after halftime to down Rockhurst 68-62 Thursday night in Moloney Arena. The win snapped a five-game skid by the Saints.

The Saints took a 33-30 lead at halftime but scored the first four points of the second half for a 37-30 advantage. The Hawks used a 9-0 to grab a 39-37 lead.
Alex Hillyer hit two free throws to tie the game. Rockhurst scored to go up by two before Hillyer again deadlocked the contest at 41-41. At 43-all,
Ellen Foster sank a jumper, and
Stephanie Sherwood scored underneath for a 47-43 Maryville advantage. The Hawks answered with a basket until Foster and
Alex Wolf scored for a 51-45 lead.

Maya Solomon sank two at the free-throw line for a 53-46 lead early in the fourth quarter before Rockhurst slowly trimmed the deficit to three. The Saints were clinging to a 57-54 edge and built it up to eight after a triple by Sherwood and a driving layup by Ringering. The Hawks sent the Saints to the line in the waning moments but Maryville hit five-of-six at the stripe to close out the victory.

Ringering made 6-of-11 from the field, including 3-of-4 beyond the arc, and she made six free throws. Hillyer finished with 18 points and a team-high seven rebounds. With her final point of the contest, she became the ninth Maryville women's basketball player to score 1,000 points in a career. Sherwood added 13 points. Mary Dineen scored a game-high 26 points and Lauren Meyers had a double-double with 13 points and 11 rebounds for Rockhurst (11-7, 4-6 GLVC). The Saints defense held the Hawks to just a .364 field goal percentage.

The Saints push their record to 9-8 overall, 3-7 in the league. Maryville is back in action Saturday as it hosts William Jewell at 1 p.m.
