Rolla, Mo. – Maryville could not over come a late goal by Missouri S&T as the Saints fell 1-0 to the Miners Sunday afternoon in Rolla.
After the two teams played on even terms in the first half, Missouri S&T (2-6, 2-5 GLVC) grabbed control of the match in the 86
th minute as Kayla Foster scored her third goal of the year as she beat Saints goalkeeper
Ali Riddle to give the Miners the 1-0 advantage.
Maryville was out shot 15-12 on the day with
Allison Verville firing six shots to lead the Saints.
Maryville (4-6, 3-5 GLVC) returns home to Maryville Field this Friday, October 7 as the Saints play host to Wisconsin-Parkside. Game time is set for 3:30 p.m.
