San Juan, Puerto Rico - In the first game of a trip in San Juan, Puerto Rico, the Maryville women's basketball team let a halftime lead slip away as the University of Puerto Rico-Bayamon rallied for a 53-49 win.

The Saints led 20-12 after the first quarter and took a 28-25 lead into halftime. However, Saints struggled in the third quarter and only made one field goal. Maryville hit all of its free throws in the quarter to stay close. The Saints were unable to mount a comeback as UPRB outscored Maryville by three in the final quarter.

Stephanie Sherwood led the Saints with 12 points.
Alex Wolf added 10 points and grabbed a team-high eight rebounds. The Saints play the University of Puerto Rico-Rio Piedras Sunday to conclude their trip.
