San Juan, Puerto Rico - For the second straight evening in San Juan, Puerto Rico, the Maryville men's basketball won a thriller in the final seconds.
Forrester Sims drained two free throws with two seconds left to hand the Saints an 82-80 triumph over the University of Puerto Rico-Bayamon. The Saints blazed the nets at a 68.3 percent clip, hitting 28 of 41 shots from the field, the third-highest single-game field goal shooting percentage in program history.

The Saints took their biggest lead of the night when
Nick Miller hit a jumper for a 67-56 lead with eight minutes to play. Maryville kept UPRB at bay and was still leading 78-70 with 3:12 remaining on a
Karson King basket. However, UPRB rallied and cut into the Saints' lead. Maryville managed just two free throws as UPRB tied the game at 80-80 with 18 seconds left. Forrester Sims was fouled and hit the game-winning free throws as the Saints swept both games in San Juan.

Grant Sims led five Saints in double figures with 25 points. Forrester Sims added 13 points, while
Marvin Grant-Clark contributed 11. King and
Anthony Johnson both finished with 10 points and seven rebounds apiece.

The Saints take a break for the holidays and are next in action Saturday, Dec. 31, when they host Principia for a 1 p.m. game at Moloney Arena.
