Louisville, Ky. - The Maryville men's basketball team was looking to win its second straight game on the road but No. 13 Bellarmine used an early run in the second half and downed the Saints 84-57 Saturday afternoon in Louisville, Ky. BU is unbeaten at home this season and moved its record to 15-0 in Knights Hall.

The Saints scored the first points of the game on a
Forrester Sims jumper but Bellarmine answered with eight straight points. Sims sank another shot, and
Marvin Grant-Clark's three-point play pulled the Saints to within one at 8-7. The Knights slowly built a 23-18 lead until the Saints pulled even with five straight points.
Karson King rattled in a 3-pointer, and Sims scored to tie the game at 23-all. However, Bellarmine scored the next 10 points and took a 39-26 lead at halftime.

The Knights extended their lead with the first five points of the second half and eventually took a 50-29 advantage. Maryville made a run and went on a 7-0 outburst. Sims sank two free throws, and Grant-Clark drilled a triple. A King layup pulled the Saints to 50-36 with a little more than 14 minutes to play. Bellarmine responded with the next six points to rebuild a 20-point cushion and the Saints would not make another run.

Forrester Sims led the Saints with 16 points, while
Grant Sims chipped in 12 points off the bench. King added 11 points and five rebounds. Grant-Clark topped Maryville with nine boards, while
Saikou Jallow handed out six assists. George Suggs led Bellarmine (20-4, 13-2 GLVC) with 17 points and nine rebounds.

The Saints are now 9-16 overall, 3-12 in the league. Maryville plays its final road game of the season Thursday at Drury.
