Session III results in PDFSt. Louis - The No. 4 Maryville wrestling team posted a 2-1 mark at the Dr. Mark Lombardi Duals Sunday afternoon in Moloney Arena. The Saints defeated No. 18 Indianapolis 30-18, downed Augustana 26-13 before a late rally fell short to No. 1 Notre Dame 27-16.

Against the Indianapolis,
Jaret Singh picked up the win at 125 but the Saints had to take an injury forfeit at 133.
Keygan Foster got the Saints rolling with a 15-0 tech fall at 141, and
Keenan Hagerty recorded a fall at the 3:19 mark in his 149 bout.
Greg Hegarty and
Dimitri Willis notched consecutive major decisions, at 157 and 165, respectively, as the Saints pushed their team advantage to 22-6. UIndy won two matches, one by default, but at 197,
Ryan Beltz registered a 16-0 tech fall, and
Donnell Walker closed out the match with a 7-4 heavyweight decision and a 30-18 win.

Versus Augustana, Singh again got the Saints off to a quick start with a decision and a 3-0 lead. Augustana won the match at 133 but a Foster fall was the first of four straight wins by the Saints. Hagerty posted a 14-2 major decision, followed by victories by Hegarty and Willis. Augustana won the next two classes but Beltz picked up a major decision by a 14-1 count. Walker ended the bout with a 6-2 win for a 26-13 team victory.

Against the top-ranked Falcons, the Saints fell behind early before embarking on a late rally. Notre Dame won the 125 match by decision and posted two consecutive falls. After NDC took the 157 class, Willis posted a 17-4 major to get the Saints going. Wahle won his hard-fought 174 match 3-1 to cut into the Falcons' lead before the teams traded forfeits. In the final matchup, Walker cruised to an 8-3 victory but could not prevent Notre Dame from clinching a 27-16 win.
