Missouri-St. Louis boxscore in PDFSt. Louis - The Maryville men's basketball team was looking to down their city rivals and earn a bid to the Great Lakes Valley Conference Tournament but the University of Missouri-St. Louis hit 11 3-pointers and put four players in double figures to down the Saints 81-66 in the season finale.

The Saints trailed 14-8 after a
Damyan Stoyanov 3-pointer before the Tritons scored the next eight points to build a double-digit lead.
Max Mischkulnig sank a jumper in the lane to end the Saints skid. The teams traded buckets but UMSL hit back-to-back triples en route to building a 36-16 lead.
Marvin Grant-Clark scored five straight points on a 3-pointer and a layup but the visitors took a 42-23 lead at halftime. UMSL hit a stunning 9-of-10 shots from 3-point range to take the edge after 20 minutes.

The Tritons continued their hot shooting from the field and kept a comfortable edge in the second half. The Saints tried to rally late but were only able to get as close as 15 at the final horn. UMSL shot 50 percent in the second half to improve to 12-15 overall, 6-12 in the GLVC. Hunter Reine finished with 18 points and nine rebounds to pace the Tritons.

Grant Sims led the Saints with 11 points and five assists, while
Saikou Jallow and senior
Max Mischkulnig both added 10 points. The Saints close the season with a slate of 10-18 overall, 4-14 in the GLVC.
