Truman State results in PDF

St. Louis - The No. 3 ranked Maryville wrestling team dominated with two fall and three tech falls to record a 42-9 triumph over visiting Truman State in a Great Lakes Valley Conference dual match Friday evening in Moloney Arena. The Saints won the final seven matches on the night.
 
Truman won the opening bout at 125 but Dakota Bauer recorded a 17-1 tech fall to give the Saints a 5-3 lead in the team score after the 133 match. The squads traded forfeits as the Bulldogs won at 141, while the Saints picked up the win at 149. Greg Hegarty notched a quick fall in just 50 seconds to win his matchup at 157. Matt Pratt followed with Maryville's second tech fall, this time by an 18-0 margin, to build a 22-9 lead after the 165 tilt.
 
Tyler Harrington won his match at 174 with a 14-0 major, and Zeb Wahle notched a 17-2 tech fall as the Saints stretched their lead to 31-9. Ethan Sherertz recorded the second pin of the match, this time at the 1:53 mark in the 197 classification. In the final bout at heavyweights, Donnell Walker cruised to a major by a 22-8 count to close the match.
 
The Saints have a quick turnaround as they host Drury Saturday, Jan. 28, in a 2 p.m. GLVC contest at Moloney Arena.
