The victory is the second straight for the Saints. Maryville outscored the visiting Panthers 21-9 in the third quarter to key the win.
 
What Happened
The Panthers shot 64.3 percent in the first two quarters but the Saints used a big third quarter to take control. Maryville hit half its shots in the frame while holding Greenville to just three field goals. Ali Ringering nailed a triple, and Mary Barton scored on a layup. Dugger powered up for a bucket inside as the Saints took a 44-43 lead. The Saints were still up 50-48 until Dugger made a layup and Barton sank a 3-pointer for a 55-48 edge. Greenville scored but Erin Lenahan converted a fastbreak layup, and Amanda Ponce's layup at the buzzer was good for a 59-50 lead heading into the fourth.
 
Sherwood scored on the first possession of the final quarter as the Saints built their largest lead of the game at 61-50. Greenville cut into the Maryville lead but the Saints put the game away by scoring the last eight points of the game. Dugger and Sherwood scored on consecutive possessions, and Barton hit a 3-pointer to seal the win.
