Summary
The Maryville women's basketball team jumped out to an early 8-0 advantage and led all the way in an 83-63 road victory at Northwest Missouri State. The contest was the first away from Moloney Arena for the Saints this season. Amanda Ponce, Ali Ringering and Kayla Steward led the way with 16 points apiece.

What Happened
Steward buried a 3-pointer to put the Saints on top. Stephanie Sherwood scored on a layup, and Ponce drilled a triple for the 8-0 lead. Maryville kept the Bearcats off the scoreboard for more than three minutes. The Saints lead stood at 9-7 before tacking on a game-changing 12-0 burst. Sherwood, Ringering and Ellen Foster scored layups for a 15-7 lead. The Saints scored on six straight trips as Ringering's free throws pushed the edge to 21-7. Maryville clamped down on Northwest Missouri for nearly four minutes to break the game open.

The Saints eventually took a 41-23 lead into the break. Early in the third, Maryville stretched its advantage to the largest of the night at 53-29. The margin never shrank below 13 as the Saints eased to the win.
