What Happened
The game was tied 11-11 in the first before Barton nailed a 3-pointer, and
Amanda Ponce drove the lane for a hoop and a 16-11 lead. After the Lady Miners scored, Barton drilled a triple at the buzzer for a 19-13 edge. Maryville was still up 29-22 late in the second quarter before going on a 6-0 burst. Ringering sank back-to-back jumpers, and Ponce scored inside for a 35-22 advantage.
Stephanie Sherwood hit a late 3-pointer to give the Saints a 40-26 lead at halftime.

Missouri S&T played well in the third quarter and trimmed the Maryville edge down to 53-46. The visitors pulled to within 61-59 before the Saints responded with nine straight points to take control. Sherwood and Ringering converted jumpers. Barton splashed in a 3-pointer from the top of the key, and another hoop by Ringering was good for a 70-59 edge with 3:03 to play. The Lady Miners never got closer than six points the rest of the way.
