St. Louis - The Maryville women's basketball team was looking to topple No. 9 Drury but the visiting Lady Panthers put five players in double figures to record a 75-50 win Thursday night. On #1000Saints night, Maryville drew a season-high 1,058 fans.

Mary Barton hit a 3-pointer to open the game before DU tallied seven points.
Ali Ringering knocked down a 3-pointer to get the Saints to 7-6 but Drury tacked on a 6-0 run. Barton hit a wing jumper but Drury edged out to a 19-10 lead after the first period. The Lady Panthers were up by 13 before baskets by Barton and Ringering cut the deficit to 23-14. Later,
Ellen Foster scored on a drive that made it 25-16 but Drury surged to a 39-22 lead at the break.

Drury tallied the first seven points in the third quarter but
Stephanie Sherwood sank a triple. Later in the period,
Alex Wolf grabbed an offensive rebound and her put back trimmed the Drury margin to 19 but that would be as close as the Saints would get in the second half.

Barton hit two 3-pointers to finish with 14 points but she was the only Maryville player in double figures. Wolf grabbed seven rebounds, four on the offensive end, to go along with six points. Hailey Diestelkamp topped Drury (23-3, 15-1 GLVC) with 14 points.

The Saints (11-12 overall, 7-9 GLVC) host Missouri S&T Saturday Feb. 18, at 1 p.m. in the final regular-season home game.
