The Maryville men's lacrosse team scored three goals for the first time in its inaugural season but Indianapolis pulled away in the second half for a 16-3 victory Saturday afternoon at Maryville Field.

The visiting Greyhounds scored off the opening faceoff and added a second three minutes in.
Tristan Snellgrove fired in a shot for his third goal of the season as the Saints cut their deficit in half. UIndy tacked on two more scores in the quarter to take a 4-1 lead. Early in the second, the Greyhounds added a goal but
Richard Cato, Jr., found the back of the net for the Saints. Indianapolis scored a minute later, however, Cato Jr., tallied his second straight to pull Maryville back to 6-3 with 2:34 left before halftime. The Greyhounds scored one more time in the second quarter to cut the gap to 7-3.

In the second half, Indianapolis did not allow the Saints to score another goal as they steadily pulled away. Shawn Kimble led UIndy (1-2) with five goals and added an assist.
William DeVinney came up with 14 saves on the day to guide the Maryville defense.

The Saints are now 0-4 on the season and take to the road for their next two games.
