Summary
The Maryville volleyball team was bidding to win its second straight match, however, the University of Missouri-St. Louis continued its best start in 30 years by downing the Saints in three sets. The Tritons posted the win by set scores of 25-13, 25-14, 25-13 to slow the Saints.

What Happened
The Saints got as close as 7-5 after a block by
Emma Basler and
Olivia Thomas. However, UMSL hit .552 and pulled away in the opening set. In the second, the Saints were down 11-6 before making a run. The Tritons committed two hitting errors and an
Allison Lakin kill drew Maryville to 11-9. UMSL steadied itself with four straight points and used a big run late to take a 2-0 lead. The Saints tried to mount a comeback in the third set but were unable to score more than three straight points as the Tritons took the match.
