Kayla Steward hit a number of driving layups and scored 11 first-half points to give the Saints a 26-25 lead at the half. The Bearcats used an early run to grab a lead in the third quarter before the Saints answered.

The Saints splashed in consecutive 3-pointers by Ringering and Barton to grab a 52-45 lead at the 8:05 mark. Ringering scored on a drive as the Saints took their largest lead of the day at 54-45 with 6:48 remaining. The Bearcats answered with eight straight points before Stephanie Sherwood converted two free throws. She added one free throw for a 57-56 Maryville lead with 3:11 to go but the Bearcats used their final burst for the win.
