Summary
The Maryville women's basketball had its bid for a three-game winning streak fall short as Wisconsin-Parkside held off the Saints 60-55 Saturday afternoon in Moloney Arena. The defeat spoiled a double-double effort by
Adrienne Horn who finished with 12 points and 13 rebounds.

What Happened
The Saints had a strong defensive effort in the second quarter and limited the Rangers to just six points to take a 25-22 lead into the break. However, UW-Parkside turned the tables and held the Saints offense in check. The Saints trailed by 10 with 8:06 to play before mounting a big comeback.
Mary Barton drilled a 3-ponter, and
Amanda Ponce converted on a fastbreak layup. Two free throws by
Kayla Steward drew the Saints to 45-42 with 6:44 remaining.

UWP pushed the edge back to eight but the Saints again rallied. Horn scored a three-point play, and added one free throw later. Steward sank a shot in traffic as Maryville again closed to 50-48 at the 3:08 mark.
Stephanie Sherwood tied the game with two free throws at the 1:35 mark before Hayley Maystead hit a triple for the Rangers. Horn converted a layup as the Saints again closed to 53-52 but the Rangers hit seven of eight free throws to keep the Saints at bay.
