Ringering Scores 1000th Career Point but Saints Edged by Bellarmine

Summary 
Despite a game-high 23 points from Ali Ringering, the Maryville University women's basketball team fell to Bellarmine University 61-54 at Knights Hall in Louisville, Ky., Thursday night. Ringering became the 10th Saint to join the 1,000-point club as she hit a free throw in fourth quarter to reach the milestone.
 
What Happened 
After the Knights took a 15-13 lead after the first quarter, the Saints battled back and took the lead at 18-17 on an Ellen Foster lay-up with 8:22 remaining in the half. Bellarmine regained the lead briefly at 21-20 before Ringering drilled a pair of triples and Jordyne Dugger hit a lay-in to give the Saints a 28-21 advantage with 3:23 left in the quarter. 
 
Maryville extended the lead to 36-26 on a Ringering jumper in the third quarter, but the Knights ended the quarter on a 9-2 run to cut the Maryville lead to 38-35. The fourth quarter belonged to Bellarmine as the Knights shot 9-for-16 in the period to out-score Maryville 26-16 to earn the victory.
